The Silent Twin by Caroline Mitchell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I received The Silent Twin by Caroline Mitchell from NetGalley. This is in exchange for an honest review.
"The Silent Twin" knocked my socks off. DC Jennifer Knight is not your typical detective. She is a special person. Assigned cases that have an element reaching beyond the five senses. DC Knight is extra observant, and is able to reach past what shows on the surface.
A fragile family just moved to a farm from the bustle of town. They buy the farm for a song, but the tune playing could by Lon Chaney.
Something is wrong with the house and the farm.
A set of twin girls get separated while playing in a field. It is as if she disappears into thin air. The only thing is her remaining twin is still making contact by telepathy.
Is the child alive, dead, kidnapped by a pedophile? Did her own father, a member of the police do the unpardonable?
This is an excellent mystery, with bumps, curves, twists and turns. The writing is good. This book kept me up late, and woke me up early. I still cannot let it go.
